Objectively invalid; preoccupied by Gobiesox gyrinus Valenciennes 1837; apparently not replaced. •Synonym of Gobiesox punctulatus (Poey 1876) -- (Briggs 1955:106 [ref. 637]). 1°Homonym. Current status: Synonym of Gobiesox punctulatus (Poey 1876). Gobiesocidae: Gobiesocinae. Habitat: marine. |
