Paratypes: IFAN 1786 (1, c&s), 50-2388 (1), 51-519 (1), 51-520 (1), 52-1210 to 52-1216 (7), 53-1978 to 53-1981 (4); MNHN 1959-0060 [ex IFAN] (2). •Valid as Opeatogenys cadenati Briggs 1957 -- (Briggs 1990:477 [ref. 15498], Hofrichter 1995:192 [ref. 30502], Fricke et al. in Carpenter & De Angelis 2016:2809 [ref. 34618], Carballo et al. 2021:92 [ref. 39250], Fermon et al. 2022:273 [ref. 39448] with question). Current status: Valid as Opeatogenys cadenati Briggs 1957. Gobiesocidae: Lepadogastrinae. Distribution: Eastern Atlantic: Morocco south to Senegal, including Canary Islands (Spain). Habitat: marine.
