V.] 1971:37, Fig. 2 [Journal of the American Killifish Association v. 7 (no. 2); ref. 7438] Headwaters of Hedjo (Todzie) River in coffee plantation of the Chief of Eyo, 8 kilometers north of Palimé, 6°55'N, 0°37'E, Togo. Holotype: USNM 205529. Paratypes: BMNH 1970.9.16.13-21 (9), USNM 205530-31 (1, 9). •Synonym of Epiplatys sexfasciatus Gill 1862 -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:258 [ref. 6198]). •Synonym of Epiplatys sexfasciatus Gill 1862, but a valid subspecies togolensis Loiselle 1971 as described -- (Romand in Lévêque et al. 1992:635 [ref. 21590], Seegers 1997:16 [ref. 23895], Dankwa et al. 1999:44 [ref. 28023], Lazara 2001:113 [ref. 25711]). •Valid as Epiplatys togolensis Loiselle 1971 -- (Wildekamp 1996:130 [ref. 23649]). •Mention -- (Paugy & Bénech 1989:303 [ref. 26478]). Current status: Valid as Epiplatys togolensis Loiselle 1971. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Togo. Habitat: freshwater.
