Paralectotypes: BMNH 1885.5.24.39-40 (1). Originally as godmanni with collector as Godman. Emended by Regan 1907:81-83, Pl. 10 (fig. 5) [ref. 3629] to godmani, also spelled godmani by Regan 1912:499 [ref. 3648]. Lectotype selected in Huber 1992:218 [ref. 20639]. •Synonym of Rivulus tenuis (Meek 1904) -- (Huber 1992:218 [ref. 20639], Lazara 2001:285 [ref. 25711], Costa in Reis et al. 2003:539 [ref. 27061], Miller 2006:208 [ref. 28615]). •Valid as Cynodonichthys godmani (Regan 1907) -- (Costa 2011:242 [ref. 31655]). •Valid as Rivulus godmani Regan 1907 -- (Collier 2016:42 [ref. 35018]). Current status: Valid as Cynodonichthys godmani (Regan 1907). Rivulidae: Rivulinae. Distribution: Middle America: Guatemala and Mexico. Habitat: freshwater.
