Holotype (unique): BMNH 1866.5.2.21. Bleeker specimens: RMNH 6960 (5, poor condition). Original genus is correctly Hemiramphus. Current status: Valid as Hemirhamphodon phaiosoma (Bleeker 1852). Zenarchopteridae. Distribution: Biliton and Banka islands and off west coast of Kalimantan, Sumatra. Habitat: freshwater.
