Current status: Valid as Craterocephalus fluviatilis McCulloch 1912. Atherinidae: Craterocephalinae. Distribution: Southern Australia: Murray-Darling River system in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales; now restricted to few lakes associated with Murray River. Habitat: freshwater.
