On Atherina pinguis of Ogilby, not Lacepède. Specimen figured in Ogilby 1912:37-38, Pl. 12 (fig. 1) and Fig. A [ref. 14855]. •Valid as Pranesus ogilbyi Whitley 1930 -- (Allen & Swainston 1988:40 [ref. 25477]). •Valid as Atherinomorus ogilbyi (Whitley 1930) -- (Paxton et al. 1989:356 [ref. 12442], Ivantsoff & Crowley 1991:498 [ref. 19162], Kuiter 1993:68 [ref. 23929], Allen 1997:64 [ref. 23977], Kuiter 1997:56 [ref. 25488], Ivantsoff & Crowley 1999:2127 [ref. 24783], Johnson 1999:725 [ref. 25471], Kimura et al. 2001:170 [ref. 25381], Hutchins 2001:25 [ref. 25847]). •Synonym of Atherinomorus vaigiensis (Quoy & Gaimard 1825) -- (Kimura et al. 2001:380 [ref. 25784], Paxton et al. 2006:703 [ref. 28995]). Current status: Synonym of Atherinomorus vaigiensis (Quoy & Gaimard 1825). Atherinidae: Atherinomorinae. Habitat: marine.
