Current status: Valid as Craterocephalus stramineus (Whitley 1950). Atherinidae: Craterocephalinae. Distribution: Australia: Ord River (Western Australia) eastward, Northern Territory, east to Gulf of Carpentaria (Queensland). Habitat: freshwater.
