Laciris is apparently feminine, so specific name should be pelagica. •Valid as Micropanchax pelagicus (Worthington 1932) -- (Ghedotti 2000:38 [ref. 27228]). •Valid as Laciris pelagica (Worthington 1932) (often seen as pelagicus) -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:190 [ref. 6198], Poll & Gosse 1995:209 [ref. 24781], Huber 1999:58 [ref. 23835], Lazara 2001:175 [ref. 25711], Huber 2006:77 [ref. 30603], Akoth et al. 2023:16 [ref. 40069]). Current status: Valid as Laciris pelagica (Worthington 1932). Procatopodidae: Procatopodinae. Distribution: East Africa: Lake Edward. Habitat: freshwater.
