Non-types: BMNH 1904.2.29.32-36. •Valid as Barbus batesii Boulenger 1903 -- (Lévêque & Daget 1984:230 [ref. 6186] with paratypes, but apparently based on a single individual originally). •Valid as Labeobarbus batesii (Boulenger 1903) -- (De Weirdt et al. 2007:521 [ref. 30024], Vreven et al. 2016:56 [ref. 34168], Skelton 2019:227 [ref. 36564], Fermon et al. 2022:136 [ref. 39448]).
