H.] 1977:8, Fig. [Revue française d'Aquariologie Herpétologie v. 4 (no. 1); ref. 7255] Small running brook, in Akoga village, about 55 kilometers from Médouneu, flowing into the Mvé in 150 meters further down, Gabon. Holotype: MNHN 1978-0146. Paratypes: MNHN 1978-0147 (2), 1978-0148 (6), 1981-0866 (19); MZN (13). •Valid as Aphyosemion mimbon Huber 1977 -- (Wildekamp et al. 1986:225 [ref. 6198], Wildekamp 1993:231 [ref. 26378], Dadaniak et al. 1995:356 [ref. 36170], Lazara 2001:27 [ref. 25711]). •Valid as Mesoaphyosemion mimbon (Huber 1977) -- (Malumbres et al. 2022:7 [ref. 39641]). •Valid as Aphyosemion (Mesospysemion) mimbon Huber 1977 -- (Sonnenberg & Blum 2005:211 [ref. 28302], Fermon et al. 2022:259 [ref. 39448]). Current status: Valid as Aphyosemion mimbon Huber 1977. Nothobranchiidae. Distribution: Western-central Africa: Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. Habitat: freshwater.
