Pao and El Baul, Cojedes, Venezuela, 9°16'N, 68°09'W. Holotype: USNM 209254. Paratypes: CAS 27556 (2), FMNH 71667-68 (4, 1), ICNMNH 700 (3), MBUCV-V-7199 (4), UMMZ 193375 (2), USNM 209255 (now 3). Type catalog: Ibarra & Stewart 1987:76 [ref. 12367] as 5 paratypes at FMNH, Provenzano et al. 1998:17 [ref. 24196], Mojica & Agudelo-Zamora 2018:52 [ref. 36127]. •Valid as Rivulus stellifer Thomerson & Turner 1973 -- (Huber 1992:410 [ref. 20639]). •Valid as Pituna stellifer (Thomerson & Turner 1973) -- (Costa 1991:331 [ref. 20644]). •Valid as Rachovia stellifer (Thomerson & Turner 1973) -- (Costa 1998:80 [ref. 23792], Lazara 2001:266 [ref. 25711], Costa in Reis et al. 2003:534 [ref. 27061], Radda 2004:21 [ref. 27638]). •Valid as Llanolebias stellifer (Thomerson & Turner 1973) -- (Hrbek & Taphorn 2008 [ref. 29747], Reis et al. 2016:13 [ref. 34496]).
