Paratypes: not researched. •Valid as Apogon uninotatus (Smith & Radcliffe 1912) -- (Allen 2000:100 [ref. 25868]). •Valid as Apogonichthyoides uninotatus (Smith & Radcliffe 1912) -- (Fraser & Allen 2010:44 [ref. 30717], Fraser & Allen 2011:68 [ref. 31605], Allen & Erdmann 2012:371 [ref. 31980], Mabuchi et al. 2014:202 [ref. 33426], Mabuchi et al. 2015:46 [ref. 34429], Eagderi et al. 2019:36 [ref. 37020], Kuiter & Kozawa 2019:155 [ref. 36965], Moazzam & Osmany 2023:70 [ref. 40689], Allen & Erdmann 2024:397 [ref. 40796]). Current status: Valid as Apogonichthyoides uninotatus (Smith & Radcliffe 1912). Apogonidae: Apogoninae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Philippines. Records from Persian Gulf and Pakistan need verification. Habitat: marine.
