Current status: Valid as Ostorhinchus hartzfeldii (Bleeker 1852). Apogonidae: Apogoninae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Indonesia east to Palau, north to Ryukysu Islands (Japan), south to northern Australia and Papua New Guinea. Habitat: marine.
