Current status: Valid as Sillaginops macrolepis (Bleeker 1858). Sillaginidae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Indonesia east to Philippines and New Britain (Papua New Guinea), north to southern Japan. IUCN (2023): Not assessed. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
