Type catalog: Bauchot & Desoutter 1989:21-22 [ref. 15502] with MNHN 7810 as holotype. •Synonym of Lobotes surinamensis (Bloch 1790) -- (Tortonese 1990:780 [ref. 18658], Kottelat 2013:344 [ref. 32989], Heemstra 2022:429 [ref. 39850]). Current status: Synonym of Lobotes surinamensis (Bloch 1790). Lobotidae. Habitat: brackish, marine.
