Paratypes: USNM 30963 (1). Type catalog: Smith 2018:74 [ref. 36061]. Original genus should have been Pomadasys. Replacement name for Pristipoma humile Kner 1863, preoccupied by Pristipoma humilis Bowdich 1825.
