Paratypes: (apparently lost) FAKU 1683 (1), 1713-35 (23), 4206 (1), 4210 (1). •Valid as Acropoma hanedai Matsubara 1953 -- (Katayama in Masuda et al. 1984:124 [ref. 6441], Yamakawa in Okamura et al. 1985:455, 661 [ref. 8056], Nakabo 2000:687 [ref. 25086], Randall & Lim in Randall & Lim 2000:608 [ref. 25122], Shinohara et al. 2001:320 [ref. 25995], Yamanoue & Matsuura 2002:21 [ref. 25952], Nakabo 2002:687 [ref. 26001], Okamoto & Ida 2002:281 [ref. 26338], Shinohara et al. 2005:429 [ref. 28370], Yamanoue & Toda 2008:200 [ref. 29613], Okamoto 2014:9 [ref. 33346], Okamoto & Golani 2017:[13] [ref. 35510], Okamoto et al. 2021:[10] [ref. 38164]). Current status: Valid as Acropoma hanedai Matsubara 1953. Acropomatidae. Distribution: Western Pacific: southern Japan and South China Sea. Habitat: marine.
