Holotype: ANSP 74640. Paratypes: ANSP 74641-42 (5, 4), 74643 (1, c&s), 74644 (11), 74645 (2, stained). Type catalog: Böhlke 1984:39 [ref. 13621], Gilbert 1998:254 [ref. 23395]. See also Boschung 1992:111 [ref. 23239]. Current status: Valid as Elassoma okefenokee Böhlke 1956. Elassomatidae. Distribution: Southeastern U.S.A.: Georgia and Florida. Habitat: freshwater.
