Holotype: UMMZ 107079. Paratypes: CHM 33.139.1 (4), 33.149.1 (now 4); FMNH 38331 [ex CHN 33.149.1] (1), UMMZ 107077-78 (4, 2); USNM 94685 (1). Type catalog: Collette & Knapp 1967:50 [ref. 20211], Ibarra & Stewart 1987:47 [ref. 12367]. •Valid as Etheostoma saludae (Hubbs & Cannon 1935) -- (Collette 1962:190 [ref. 5865], Lee et al. 1980:690 [ref. 22416], Kuehne & Barbour 1983:159 [ref. 38055], Page 1983:156 [ref. 22189], Page & Burr 1991:325 [ref. 18983]). Current status: Valid as Etheostoma saludae (Hubbs & Cannon 1935). Percidae: Etheostomatinae. Distribution: North America: South Carolina (U.S.A.). Habitat: freshwater.
