D) [Kansas University Science Bulletin v. 48 (no. 5); ref. 17402] Pigeon Creek, headwater tributary of Current River, Dent County, Missouri, U.S.A. Holotype: KU 7478. Paratypes: KU 7479 and 7480 (230); UMMZ 188903 [ex KU 7480] (10); USNM 204128 [ex UK 7480] (10). •Synonym of Etheostoma spectabile (Agassiz 1854), but a valid subspecies as described -- (Lee et al. 1980:695 [ref. 22416], Page 1983:136 [ref. 22189], Robison & Buchanan 1988:439 [ref. 23393]). •Valid as Etheostoma uniporum Distler 1968 -- (Ceas & Page 1997:510 [ref. 22902], Ceas & Burr 2002:213 [ref. 26533], Nelson et al. 2004:136 [ref. 27807], Scharpf 2008:34 [ref. 30399], Page & Burr 2011:580 [ref. 31215], Page et al. 2013:140 [ref. 32708]). Current status: Valid as Etheostoma uniporum Distler 1968. Percidae: Etheostomatinae. Distribution: Missouri and Arkansas, U.S.A. Habitat: freshwater.
