kamoharai, Coelorhynchus Matsubara [K.] 1943:136, Fig. 4 [The Journal of the Sigenkagaku Kenkyusyo v. 1 (no. 2); ref. 12783] Kumano-Nada, Japan. Holotype: FAKU 2498 [ex SKFC 4] (apparently lost). Paratypes: 12 (some lost, now 5 remaining) FAKU 1593-1596 (4), 2496 (1). Correct spelling of the genus is Coelorinchus. •Valid as Caelorhinchus kamoharai Matsubara 1943 -- (Shinohara et al. 1996:169 [ref. 26605], Iwamoto 1999:1991 [ref. 24761], Nakabo 2000:430 [ref. 25086], Iwamoto in Randall & Lim 2000:595 [ref. 25122], Shinohara et al. 2001:304 [ref. 25995], Nakabo 2002:430 [ref. 26001], Shinohara et al. 2005:416 [ref. 28370]). •Valid as Coelorinchus kamoharai Matsubara 1943 -- (Okamura in Masuda et al. 1984:97 [ref. 6441] as Coelorhynchus, Yatou in Okamura & Kitajima 1984:221, 365 [ref. 8057] as Coelorhynchus, Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:164 [ref. 18936], Motomura et al. 2015:16 [ref. 34709], Iwamoto et al. 2015:58 [ref. 35408], Nakayama 2020:87 [ref. 37888]). Current status: Valid as Coelorinchus kamoharai Matsubara 1943. Macrouridae. Distribution: Western North Pacific: Japan to Taiwan. Habitat: marine.
