M.] & Radcliffe [L.] in Radcliffe 1912:127, Pl. 29 (fig. 1) [Proceedings of the United States National Museum v. 43 (no. 1924); ref. 3578] Verde Island Passage, Luzon Island, 13°34'37"N, 121°07'30"E, Philippines, Albatross station 5367, depth 180 fathoms. Holotype: USNM 72944. Paratypes: (8) USNM 148888 (4). First author is H. M. Smith. •Valid as Caelorinchus macrorhynchus Smith & Radcliffe 1912 -- (Iwamoto & Williams 1999:145 [ref. 23875], Iwamoto 1999:1991 [ref. 24761], Iwamoto & Graham 2001:440 [ref. 25637], Hutchins 2001:23 [ref. 25847], Bray et al. 2006:587 [ref. 29065]). •Valid as Coelorinchus macrorhynchus Smith & Radcliffe 1912 -- (Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:138 [ref. 18936], Iwamoto et al. 2015:62 [ref. 35408] as cf. macrorhynchus, Motomura et al. 2017:54 [ref. 35490]). Current status: Valid as Coelorinchus macrorhynchus Smith & Radcliffe 1912. Macrouridae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Philippines and Australia. Habitat: marine.
