Holotype: USNM 78213. Paratypes: USNM 137823-27 (1, 7, 1, 2, 2). Correct spelling of the genus is Coelorinchus. •Valid as Caelorinchus quincunciatus Gilbert & Hubbs 1920 -- (Iwamoto 1999:1991 [ref. 24761], Iwamoto in Randall & Lim 2000:595 [ref. 25122]). •Valid as Coelorinchus quincunciatus Gilbert & Hubbs 1920 -- (Iwamoto in Cohen et al. 1990:138 [ref. 18936]). Current status: Valid as Coelorinchus quincunciatus Gilbert & Hubbs 1920. Macrouridae. Distribution: Western Pacific. Habitat: marine.
