jordani, Ditrema temmincki var. Franz [V.] 1910:51, Pl. 5 (fig. 29) [Abhandlungen der math.-phys. Klasse der K. Bayer Akademie der Wissenschaften v. 4 (Suppl.) (no. 1); ref. 1481] Misaki, Miura Peninsula, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Neotype: FAKU 88266. Syntypes: ZSM 271 (1), ZSM 30574 [ex ZPLMU 1757] (1). Type catalog: Neumann 2011:258 [ref. 31652]. As a new variety based on specimens from Misaki described by Jordan & Sindo 1902:359 [ref. 21273]. Neotype designated by Katafuchi & Nakabo 2007:357 [ref. 29355]; original types destroyed in WWII with the exceptions recently found and listed at ZSM; a lectotype should be selected from the ZSM specimens. •Synonym of Ditrema temminckii Bleeker 1853 -- (Tarp 1952:65 [ref. 12250] as temmincki). •Valid as Ditrema jordani Franz 1910 -- (Katafuchi & Nakabo 2007:354 [ref. 29355], Katafuchi et al. 2011:90 [ref. 31141]) Current status: Valid as Ditrema jordani Franz 1910. Embiotocidae. Distribution: Pacific coast of southern Japan. Habitat: marine.
