Paratypes: USNM 77590 (3). •Valid as Chromis intercrusma Evermann & Radcliffe 1917 -- (Greenfield & Woods 1980:637 [ref. 5581], Pequeño 1989:63 [ref. 14125], Allen 1991:239 [ref. 19344], Chirichigno F. & Vélez D. 1998:299 [ref. 24555], Parenti 2021:53 [ref. 38418], Siccha-Ramirez et al. 2023:166 [ref. 40816]). •Valid as Azurina intercrusma (Evermann & Radcliffe 1917) -- (Tang et al. 2021:274 [ref. 38308], Bensted-Smith et al. 2023:612 [ref. 40605]). Current status: Valid as Azurina intercrusma (Evermann & Radcliffe 1917). Pomacentridae: Chrominae. Distribution: Southeastern Pacific: Cabo Blanco (Peru) south to Tarapaca (Chile), including Galapagos Islands (Ecuador). Habitat: marine.
