Paratypes: BMNH 1936.8.26.1049-1051 (3). •Valid as Lycodapus australis Norman 1937 -- (Peden & Anderson 1978:1956 [ref. 8895], Pequeño 1989:49 [ref. 14125], Miller 1993:678 [ref. 21297], Anderson 1994:118 [ref. 21438], Anderson & Fedorov 2004:21 [ref. 27603], McCosker & Rosenblatt 2010:193 [ref. 30957], Balushkin et al. 2011:1026 [ref. 32449], Grove et al. 2022:21 [ref. 41326], Prokofiev et al. 2022:11 [ref. 39806], Koerber 2023:45 [ref. 40486]). Current status: Valid as Lycodapus australis Norman 1937. Zoarcidae: Lycodinae. Distribution: Southeastern Pacific: Galapagos Islands (Ecuador), Strait of Magellan (Chile). Records from Argentina are erroneous (Koerber 2023:45 [ref. 40486]). Habitat: marine.
