mungoensis, Barbus Trewavas [E.] 1974:345 [Bulletin of the British Museum (Natural History) Zoology v. 26 (no. 5); ref. 7546] Wowe River, tributary of Mungo River, Cameroon (±4°04'N, 9°31'E). Holotype: BMNH 1973.5.14.163. Paratypes: BMNH 1973.5.14.164-182 (19). Additional non-type material: 1973.5.14.183-185 (3), 1973.5.14.186-191 (6). •Valid as Barbus mungoensis Trewavas 1974 -- (Lévêque & Daget 1984:271 [ref. 6186]). •Valid as Labeobarbus mungoensis (Trewavas 1974) -- (De Weirdt et al. 2007:523 [ref. 30024], Vreven et al. 2016:64 [ref. 34168]). Current status: Valid as Labeobarbus mungoensis (Trewavas 1974). Cyprinidae: Torinae. Distribution: Cameroon. Habitat: freshwater.
