Syntypes: (several) BMNH 1913.12.4.68 (1). •Valid as Trematomus eulepidotus Regan 1914 -- (Pequeño 1989:65 [ref. 14125], DeWitt et al. 1990:318 [ref. 21696] but wrongly with a holotype, Frolkina et al. 1998:133 [ref. 24763], Eastman & Eakin 2000:15 [ref. 24631], Arana et al. 2020:315 [ref. 41264], Eastman & Eakin 2021:[3] [ref. 38307], Frédérich et al. 2022:59 [ref. 39239]). •Valid as Pseudotrematomus eulepidotus (Regan 1914) -- (Miller 1993:206 [ref. 21297], Balushkin 2000:S97 [ref. 29555]). Current status: Valid as Pseudotrematomus eulepidotus (Regan 1914). Nototheniidae: Trematominae. Distribution: Southern Ocean: Antarctica; South Atlantic: South Orkney Islands. Habitat: marine.
