Current status: Valid as Paraclinus tanygnathus Rosenblatt & Parr 1969. Labrisomidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: southern tip of Baja California Sur (Mexico) south southern Mexico, including Gulf of California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
