Current status: Valid as Enteromius pallidus (Smith 1841). Cyprinidae: Smiliogastrinae. Distribution: Southern Africa: Krom to Great Fish River systems, eastern Cape Fold Ecoregion, South Africa. Habitat: freshwater.
