Holotype (unique): RMNH 4787 (55 mm SL). •Valid as Istiblennius interruptus (Bleeker 1857) -- (Shen et al. 1986:45 [ref. 13821], Bath & Patzner 1991:49 [ref. 19212]). •Valid as Blenniella interrupta (Bleeker 1857) -- (Springer & Williams 1994:35 [ref. 21878], Myers 1999:222 [ref. 23965], Springer in Randall & Lim 2000:632 [ref. 25122], Springer 2001:3543 [ref. 26290], Yoshigou & Yoshino 2002:3 [ref. 26253], Allen & Adrim 2003:53 [ref. 26830], Patzner et al. 2009:450 [ref. 30396], Allen & Erdmann 2012:804 [ref. 31980], Fricke et al. 2014:148 [ref. 33932], Koeda et al. 2016:84 [ref. 35333], Fricke et al. 2019:255 [ref. 36673]). Current status: Valid as Blenniella interrupta (Bleeker 1857). Blenniidae: Salariinae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Indonesia east to Palau, New Ireland (Papua New Guinea) and Solomon Islands, north to Taiwan and Ryukyu Islands, south to Vanuatu. Habitat: marine.
