lineolatus, Petroscirtes Kner [R.] 1868:29 [Sitzungsberichte der Kaiserlichen Akademie der Wissenschaften. Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftliche Classe v. 58 (nos 1-2); ref. 6074] Kandavu Island, Fiji Islands. Holotype (unique): ?NMW 78545 [neotype AMS IA.4298]. Appeared in more detail in Kner 1868:331 [39 of separate], Pl. 6 (fig. 17) [ref. 2646]. Springer & Gomon 1975:46 [ref. 6083] selected a neotype (same type as Graviceps darwini Whitley 1958), but they apparently were unaware of NMW 78545; more research is needed. •Valid as Omobranchus lineolatus (Kner 1868) -- (Springer 1972:14 [ref. 4178], Springer & Gomon 1975:45 [ref. 6083], Smith-Vaniz 1976:149 [ref. 4144], Springer 1981:701 [ref. 8545], Allen & Swainston 1988:128 [ref. 25477], Allen 1997:206 [ref. 23977], Larson & Williams 1997:366 [ref. 23967], Hutchins 2001:41 [ref. 25847], Springer 2001:3545 [ref. 26290], Hoese & Bray 2006:1557 [ref. 29000], Larson et al. 2013:180 [ref. 32988]). Current status: Valid as Omobranchus lineolatus (Kner 1868). Blenniidae: Blenniinae. Distribution: Western Pacific and southeastern Indian Ocean. Habitat: marine.
