Holotype: BMNH 1973.5.14.284. Paratypes: BMNH 1973.5.14.204-213 (9). Additional material: BMNH 1973.5.14.214-221 (8?). •Valid as Barbus thysi Trewavas 1974 -- (Lévêque & Daget 1984:291 [ref. 6186], De Weirdt et al. 2007:501 [ref. 30024]). •Valid as Enteromius thysi (Trewavas 1974) -- (Yang et al. 2015:112 [ref. 33694], Hayes & Armbruster 2017:355 [ref. 35417]). Current status: Valid as Enteromius thysi (Trewavas 1974). Cyprinidae: Smiliogastrinae. Distribution: Western Africa: Cameroon and Fernando Poo [Bioco Island]. Habitat: freshwater.
