Holotype: SAIAB [formerly RUSI] 30026 [ex TMP 24869]. Paratypes: SAIAB [formerly RUSI] 30025 [ex TMP 24870-99] (30). •Valid as Barbus treurensis Groenewald 1958 -- (Lévêque & Daget 1984:292 [ref. 6186], Skelton 1993:135 [ref. 24071], Skelton 2001:135 [ref. 27406]). •Valid as Enteromius treurensis (Groenewald 1958) -- (Yang et al. 2015:112 [ref. 33694], Hayes & Armbruster 2017:356 [ref. 35417]). Current status: Valid as Enteromius treurensis (Groenewald 1958). Cyprinidae: Smiliogastrinae. Distribution: Southern Africa. Habitat: freshwater.
