Replaced in the western Indian Ocean by L. octolineatus (Cuvier 1828), and in the northwestern Indian Ocean and Red Sea by L. sapphirolineatus Iwatsuki, Al-Mamry & Heemstra 2016 [see ref. 34361]. Habitat: marine.
