pullus, Scarus Forster [J. R.] in Bloch & Schneider 1801:288 [M. E. Blochii, Systema Ichthyologiae; ref. 471] Queen Charlotte Sound, New Zealand. Holotype: BMNH 1975.6.4.4. Based on description in manuscript by Forster (Johann Reinhold Forster, 1729-1798, German explorer and naturalist of Cook's second voyage). •Valid as Odax pullus (Forster 1801) -- (Gomon & Paxton 1986:40 [ref. 5656], Paulin et al. 1989:209 [ref. 24556], Paulin & Roberts 1992:103 [ref. 24625], Kuiter 2010:68 [ref. 35285], Gomon et al. 2015:1373 [ref. 34207]). Current status: Valid as Odax pullus (Forster 1801). Odacidae. Distribution: Southwestern Pacific: New Zealand EEZ. Habitat: marine.
