Current status: Valid as Enneapterygius pusillus Rüppell 1835. Tripterygiidae: Tripterygiinae. Distribution: Red Sea, western Indian Ocean: East Africa, South Africa, Persian Gulf, Socotra and Gulf of Oman east to southern India. Habitat: marine.
