Lectotype established by Boeseman 1947 by use of "the type" after discovery of a second type by Paepke 2001:330 [ref. 25566]. •Synonym of Synechogobius ommaturus Richardson 1845 (Oct.) -- (Wu in Pan et al. 1991:488 [ref. 23876]). •Valid as Synechogobius hasta (Temminck & Schlegel 1845) -- (Lindberg & Krasyukova 1975:390 [ref. 7348], Zhu 1995:183 [ref. 25213], Cheng & Zhou 1997:385 [ref. 26385] dated 1850, Kim 1997:444 [ref. 24032], Kim & Park 2002:368 [ref. 25913], Youn 2002:400, 665 [ref. 26218], Kottelat 2013:431 [ref. 32989]). •Valid as Acanthogobius hasta (Temminck & Schlegel 1845) -- (Okada 1961:673 [ref. 6363], Akihito in Masuda et al. 1984:278 [ref. 6441], Larson in Randall & Lim 2000:635 [ref. 25122], Nakabo 2000:1207 [ref. 25182], Wang et al. 2001:268 [ref. 26566], Nakabo 2002:1207 [ref. 26193], Shibukawa & Iwata 2013:46 [ref. 32580]).
