Holotype: SAMA F1492 or MNHN A-1077. Type catalog: Bauchot 1967:53-54 [ref. 20734] and Glover 1976:174 [ref. 19449] but in disagreement. Also appeared in Castelnau 1873:68 [ref. 758]. •Valid as Heteroclinus adelaidae Castelnau 1872 -- (Hoese 1976:54 [ref. 7338] with MNHN A.1077 as holotype, Kuiter 1993:330 [ref. 23929], Gomon et al. 1994:754 [ref. 22532], Hutchins 2001:42 [ref. 25847], Hoese & Rennis 2006:24 [ref. 28927], Hoese 2006:1531 [ref. 28998], Hoese et al. 2008:706 [ref. 30657], Patzner et al. 2009:466 [ref. 30396], Hoschke et al. 2019:159 [ref. 36626], Hoese & Pogonoski 2021:291 [ref. 38896]). Current status: Valid as Heteroclinus adelaidae Castelnau 1872. Clinidae. Distribution: Southeastern Indian Ocean: Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia. Habitat: marine.
