A.] 1901:160 [Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London 1901, v. 2 (pt 3) (art. 2) (for 4 June 1901); ref. 14746] Nile River, about 3 miles north of Kermeh, Sudan. Syntypes: BMNH 1907.12.2.1175-1179 (5). •Synonym of Garra dembeensis (Rüppell 1835) -- (Lévêque & Daget 1984:302 [ref. 6186], Lévèque et al. 1991:141 [ref. 31367]). •Synonym of Garra blanfordii (Boulenger 1901) -- (Stiassny & Getahun 2007:73 [ref. 29119]). •Valid as Garra vinciguerrae (Boulenger 1901) -- (Neumann et al. 2016:304 [ref. 35036] as cf. vinciguerrae and no parentheses, Moritz et al. 2019:314 [ref. 37196]). Current status: Valid as Garra vinciguerrae (Boulenger 1901). Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Distribution: The first, third and fourth cataract of the Nile River, Egypt and Sudan. Habitat: freshwater.
