Lectotype: BMNH 1905.7.25.87. Paralectotypes: (5) BMNH 1905.7.25.88 (1). Lectotype selected by Stiassny & Getahun 2007:78 [ref. 29119]. •Valid as Garra makiensis (Boulenger 1904) -- (Lévêque & Daget 1984:303 [ref. 6186], Stiassny & Getahun 2007:74 [ref. 29119] incorrectly dated 1903, Habteselassie et al. 2010:50 [ref. 30774]). Current status: Valid as Garra makiensis (Boulenger 1904). Cyprinidae: Labeoninae. Distribution: Ethiopia. Habitat: freshwater.
