Distribution: Eastern Pacific: southern California (U.S.A.) south to Peru, including Baja California (Mexico), Clipperton Island (France) and Galapagos Islands (Ecuador); central Pacific: Marquesas Islands (France); waifs in southern Japan, Hawaiian Islands, Baker Island, Society Islands. Habitat: marine.
