Lectotype selected by Rosenblatt & Taylor 1971:453 [ref. 3811]. •Valid as Starksia cremnobates (Gilbert 1890) -- (Hastings in Fischer et al. 1995:1014 [ref. 22829], Thomson et al. 2000:218 [ref. 25640], Nelson et al. 2004:164 [ref. 27807], Patzner et al. 2009:464 [ref. 30396], Page et al. 2013:170 [ref. 32708], Page et al. 2023:155 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Starksia cremnobates (Gilbert 1890). Labrisomidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Gulf of California (Mexico) endemic. Habitat: marine.
