Holotype (unique): USNM 44279. Type catalog: Springer & Anderson 1997:17 [ref. 22953]. Distribution: North Pacific: Bering Sea and Gulf of Alaska (U.S.A.) south to Pacific coast of northern Baja California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
