Current status: Valid as Croilia mossambica Smith 1955. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Western Indian Ocean: KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) north to southrn Mozambique, east to Madagascar. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
