Current status: Valid as Pentapodus emeryii (Richardson 1843). Nemipteridae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, western Pacific: Brunei, Malaysia and Indonesia east to Philippines and New Ireland (Papua New Guinea), south to northern Western Australia. Habitat: marine.
