Type catalog: Hutchins & Smith 1991:41 [ref. 19335], Moore et al. 2008:48 [ref. 30117]. •Valid as Milyeringa veritas Whitley 1945 -- (Humphreys 1999:469 [ref. 24250], Unmack 2001:1064 [ref. 25797], Hutchins 2001:44 [ref. 25847], Allen et al. 2002:304 [ref. 25930], Romero & Paulson 2001:34 [ref. 26040], Humphreys 2001:297 [ref. 26398], Proudlove 2006:196 [ref. 28992], Hoese 2006:1604 [ref. 28998], Chakrabarty 2010:19 [ref. 30921] in Milyeringidae, Larson et al. 2013:144 [ref. 32466], Morgan et al. 2014:31 [ref. 36567], Parenti 2021:430 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Valid as Milyeringa veritas Whitley 1945. Eleotridae: Milyeringinae. Distribution: Western Australia: eastern and western sides of the Cape Range peninsula (Pilbara) endemic. Restricted to subterranean aquifers. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
