Current status: Valid as Neoscorpis lithophilus (Gilchrist & Thompson 1908). Kyphosidae. Distribution: Southwestern Indian Ocean: Western Cape, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) and southern Mozambique to southern Madagascar. Habitat: marine.
