Combined with a feminine genus the specific adjective should have been argentea. •Synonym of Parapriacanthus ransonneti Steindachner 1870 -- (Heemstra 1986:669 [ref. 5660]). •Valid as Parapriacanthus argenteus (von Bonde 1923) -- (Randall & Bogorodsky 2016:6 [ref. 34332], Randall & Victor 2022:94 [ref. 39910]).
